CountryRep™ 2011 - Country Reputation Report

How strong is Ireland’s reputation?

Increased globalization and intensified competition have heightened the interdependence of the world and made Ireland’s reputation more crucial than ever. Research shows that building a strong country reputation is vital in order to:

The CountryRep™ Model

Reputation Institute uses the CountryRep™ model , a scientifically-developed standardised scorecard, to measure perceptions of a country or region among priority stakeholders to gauge the overall reputation, determine drivers of reputation, measure performance on each dimension of reputation and determine priorities for reputation-based branding and communications.

 

CountryRep™ 2011 Project Description

  • Data was fielded in January and February 2011 and 53 countries were rated
  • Each of the G8 countries rate their perception of themselves, as well as the reputation of all other countries in the study
  • Data is balanced to be representative of country population
  • All external scores are globally adjusted to account for country bias
  • Global External CountryRep™ scores are based on a mean of means of the G8 countries

The CountryRep™ report contains:

  • G8 ratings of Ireland Pulse and Country Attributes
  • Ireland attribute distribution among G8
  • Global leaders across all Attributes
  • All countries in position relative to each other in a map – based on G8
  • Drivers of reputation across G8
  • Drivers within each of the G8
  • Supportive Behaviors –which countries are most attractive for key supportive behaviors
  • Self-image – which countries like themselves the most
  • Gap between Self-image and External perception.
  • Self-image vs. G8 perception
